About 0.7 million leisure trips abroad were made in August 2025, according to Statistics Finland.
The trips included with overnight stay in the destination country, cruises and same-day trips.
The number of leisure trips abroad with overnight stay in the destination country was around 0.5 million, which is one tenth more than one year earlier.
The number of domestic leisure trips with overnight stay was 2.1 million, which is around one fifth fewer than in August 2024.
The number of domestic leisure trips with free accommodation was 1.5 million and the number of domestic leisure trips with paid accommodation was 0.6 million.
Altogether 8.2 million overnight stays during leisure trips were recorded in Finland and 3.8 million abroad in August 2025.
