Metro services to Vuosaari and Rastila resumed on Monday after completion of the renovation of the Vuosaari Metro bridge over Vartiokylänlahti, said the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (Helsingin seudun liikenne – HSL).
At the same time, replacement bus route 99V has been withdrawn and the timetables for bus routes 90, 96, 98 and 560 returned to the normal schedules.
The construction work on the Metro track and at the Metro stations in the area of Vuosaari began on May 5 this year and the metro services usually terminated.
During the work, trains running on Metro line M1 terminated at Puotila instead of Vuosaari.
The work completed on schedule by Sunday.
The first service departed from Vuosaari after the construction work on Monday at 5.05 a.m.
